The area is world famous for the spectacular sight of blossoming of rapeseed flowers, which turn the countryside into brilliant shades of yellow for as far as the eye can see.
Many people are drawn to witness the sunrise as it hits the mountain range in the morning and lights up the snowy peaks in gold sunlight, starting with Kawagebo and then spreading to the other peaks.
Fuxian Lake is a huge expanse of water. It’s also the deepest lake in Yunnan, with depths of up to 509 feet. It is the third-deepest fresh water lake in all of China, after Tianchi Lake and Kanas Lake.
